The Fox

The Fox  - Sarah . Scoil Naomh Aingeal

Her tail swishes under the dark cloak of night,

Her face, desperate yet tired,

She stops,

Her fur is standing bolt upright.

I turn towards the rustling in the bushes,

A rabbit sticks it's head out.

The sly creature immediately crouches down on her stomach,

As she approaches her next meal,

She crawls carefully towards it,

I close my eyes in fear of what I will see.

As I risk a glance,

Both creaures are nowhere to be seen,

They have disappeared with no sound,

I am alone.
